Hocus Poku’s new “D\u00e9cor-Weave” designs will inspire you to take your old, once-loved furniture from drab to fabulous!<\/span>
\nHocus Pocus D\u00e9cor-Weave designs are highly detailed expressions of art that can be applied to natural wood, lacquered furniture, or your choice of finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements for attaching a Hocus Pocus decor fabric:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.) a piece of furniture or project that has been finished smooth, varnished or sanded natural wood<\/span><\/p>\n

2.) a decorative weave pattern;<\/span><\/p>\n

3. brush;<\/span><\/p>\n

4.) Braier;<\/span><\/p>\n

5.) Water-based sealer<\/span><\/p>\n

6.) 400 grit sandpaper;<\/span><\/p>\n

7.) clean water<\/span><\/p>\n

8. clean cloth;<\/span><\/p>\n

9.) Iron<\/span><\/p>\n

Iron the iron on the COOL, DRY setting (without STEAM) carefully the back of your<\/span><\/p>\n

Decor weave design to remove initial fold lines.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prepared piece of furniture: wipe with a damp cloth to remove all dust.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is extremely important to remove any excess dust before applying Hokus Pokus D\u00e9cor-Weave to your project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharp splinter of wood or chipped paint, no matter how small, can affect the finish and texture of your D\u00e9cor Weave project.<\/span><\/p>\n

All painted surfaces must be 100% dry to prevent the Hokus Pokus Decor Fabric from lifting or forming air bubbles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Always plan ahead where you will place your Hokus Pokus D\u00e9cor-Weave and trim if necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applying the Decor Fabric: Apply a base coat of a high quality, water-based polyurethane sealer, while still damp, place the Hocus Pocus Decor Fabric in the desired location, ensuring any air bubbles are removed by rolling with a brayer be removed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wait about 30 minutes and then apply a first coat of sealer to the hocus pocus on D\u00e9cor-Weave, wait until 100% dry, then apply a 2nd and 3rd coat, ensure surface is completely dry according to manufacturer’s instructions – do not rush this stage .\u00a0Once 100% dry and cured, gently sand the entire design to a smooth texture using 400 grit sandpaper.\u00a0Clean with a damp cloth.<\/span><\/p>\n
